Plane Lands on Flagler Beach Print E-mail

On Monday, March 1st at 15:43hrs,  E-11 was clearing a motor vehicle accident at North 18th and A1A, Engine 11 witnessed a small single engine plane starting to descend rapidly. Engine 11 witnessed the plane make a controlled landing on the beach. Engine 11 notified FCSO dispatch and went out to the beach to check for injuries.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that there were no injuries and the plane had sustained no damage. Proper authorities were notified for removal of the plane from the beach. A short time later, it was determined the plane was able to fly off of the beach and that there were fuel related issues that had been resolved. After the landing gear was dug out, the plane was able to safely fly off the beach using a sand bar.
