| Engine 11 Responds To MVA w/ Entrapment |

On Monday, March 1st at approximately 12:36hrs, Station 11 (A-Shift) responded to North A1A and North 17th Street for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Engine 11 arrived on scene and located a pickup truck and sport utility vehicle with major damage and total road blockage. Engine 11 established "A1A Command" and began scene size-up. Upon further investigation, it was determined the driver of the pickup truck was entrapped. The driver of the SUV stated they had no injuries. Engine 11 pulled the TNT extrication tools from the truck and went to work on cutting the door from the driver's side. Flagler County Rescue 11 had patient care during extrication operations. Crews were able to extricate the driver in under 10 minutes and turn the patient over to Rescue 11. Two patients were transported to Florida Hospital Flagler. Engine 11 remained on scene after all patients were transported and removed road debris and secured vehicle hazards. Flagler Beach Fire Police shut down A1A during operations.
