Flagler Beach Fire Department

At 16:11hrs on Thursday, February 25th, Station 11 (C-Shift) was dispatched to the area of Seminole Woods Blvd and Citation to assist Flagler County and Palm Coast for a brush fire. Initial dispatch advised several small brush fires along Seminole Woods. Upon Flagler County Battalion 93's arrival, he advised several small, and one large brush fire and requested additional engine companies for structural protection.

Engine 11, Brush Attack 11 and Chief 11 responded to the area and assisted Flagler County Engine 92 with protecting a residence in immediate danger. The structure was surrounded by fire on 2, and almost a 3rd side of fire. Engine 92 and Engine 11 knocked down the fire and mopped up the area. Upon completion, Flagler County Battalion 93 requested Engine 11 return to the station and bring Woods 11 to the area. Engine 111 arrived on scene and staged per command as well as Brush Attack 11. Engine 11 returned and retrieved Woods 11. Upon re-arrival on scene, Woods 11 was instructed to follow Division of Forestry's plow line and establish a good black like with foam on the area as well as check for additional fire. Woods 11 acknowledged and followed approximately 1/2 a mile of the plow line and established a black line with foam on the area. Due to night setting in, all units were pulled from the woods per command for the evening. Division of Forestry is conducting an investigation at this time into the cause of the fire. It has been deemed suspicious at this time. Station 11 volunteers provided city coverage during this fire.
