Personnel
The Flagler Beach Fire Rescue Department currently employs six full time firefighter/emt's who are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week rotating through 3 shifts. Each shift, A, B and C have two firefighter/emt's on at all times. Our Fire Chief, Martin Roberts, is also paid and works administrative hours Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm, as well as being on call 24/7 for emergency incidents. Our department also relies on our volunteers for assistance in covering the station, answering emergency calls and special events. Full Time Personnel

Chief came to the department in 2005 with over 40 years in the fire service. He is a Certified Firefighter 2 and DOF Wildland Certified Firefighting certified.

 

 

 

 

 

shane_dress This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it - is a Firefighter/EMT. He became a member on July 1,1991 as a Junior Firefighter. He attended the Volusia/Flagler Fire Academy and became a Florida State Certified Firefighter in June of 1994. In February of 1996 he attained his State EMT license. Shane is DOF Wildland Firefighting certified. He moved from a volunteer to full time employee in October of 1997 making him the second full time person within the department. Shane obtained his A.S. Degree in Fire Science through Keiser University and graduated with High Honors in May of 2010. In addition to his years of service and degree, Shane is also a State Certified Aerial Operator.

Scott joined the department in 2005. Scott is DOF Wildland Certified Firefighting certified. Scott is also a Certified Rope Rescue Technician. Scott is certified by the State of Florida as a Fire Inspector and handles all fire inspections. Scott is also a State Certified Aerial Operator

Bobby joined the department in 2005 as a part-time member and was hired in 2006 as a full time employee. Bobby is DOF Wildland Certified Firefighting certified. Bobby is certified by the state as a Driver/Engineer and is also a State Certified Aerial Operator

Jacob was hired in 2006 with two years prior experience as a volunteer with the City of Palm Coast. Jacob is DOF Wildland Firefighting Certified as well as a Certified Live Fire Instructor. Jacob is also an AHA BLS Instructor and has completed Confined Space Training. Jacob is currently pursuing Fire Officer I certification. Jacob is also a State Certified Aerial Operator

Part-Time Personnel

John Peacock - is a Florida State Certified Firefighter/EMT and is a part-time paid member of the department. John joined us in 2009 with over 15 years experience in the fire service. John is a State Certified Driver/Engineer, Fire Officer, Inspector, State Certified Aerial Operator and many other certifications. John is currently employed by the City of Palm Coast Fire Department and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant.

Jeff Nunziato - is a Florida State Certified Firefighter/EMT and is a part-time member of the department. Jeff joined the department in 2009 and is a Certified Driver/Engineer. Jeff also holds certifications in Aerial Operations and DOF Wildland Firefighting Certified. Jeff brings 17 years of experience to the department. Jeff is a full-time Driver/Engineer for the City of Palm Coast Fire Department.

Ralph Wainwright - is a Florida State Certified Firefighter/Paramedic. Ralph started his EMS career in 1979 as volunteer for a NYC ambulance service. He became an EMT in 1981 and began working for the city of NY as an EMT. In 1983, Ralph became a NYC certified Paramedic and in 1990, started second career as a NYC Police Officer. In 1997, Ralph was promoted to NYPD Sergeant. In 2005, Ralph retired from NYPD with a total of 24 years of City EMS and NYPD service and moved to Florida in 2006. In 2007, Ralph started working for Flagler County as a Paramedic and in 2008, completed Fire School and was upgraded to Firefighter/Paramedic with Flagler County. Ralph was hired by Flagler Beach Fire Rescue part-time in 2010. Ralph is a Certified BLS and ACLS Instructor and holds certifications in Confined Space Rescue, Rope Rescue, Structual Collapse Rescue, Trench Rescue, Vehicle and Machine Extrication, and DOF Wildland Fire certified.

Adam Hardy - is a Florida State Certified Firefighter/EMT and joined the department in 2009. Adam serves on the Board of Directors for the Flagler Beach Volunteer Firemen's Association and was hired as a part-time member in 2010.

Neal Ecker - is a Certified First Responder. Neil joined the department in 1999.

Andres Moscoso - is a Florida State Certified Firefighter/EMT and joined the department in 2007. Andres is currently attending Paramedic school.

Bobby Anderson - is a Florida State Certified Firefighter/Paramedic. Bobby joined us in 2007 and is currently emplyed by the Marion County Fire Rescue Department as a Firefighter/Paramedic.

Robert Wiemann - is a Florida State Certified Firefighter/EMT. Robert joined our department in August of 2008 and is the current Vice-President of the Flagler Beach Volunteer Firemen's Association.

Roy Johnson - is a Florida State Certified Firefighter 1 & Florida State Certified EMT and joined the department in 2008 and is the current President of the Flagler Beach Volunteer Firemen's Association.

Brent Bruns - is a Florida State Certified Firefighter 1 and joined the department in 2009. Brent serves on the Board of Directors for the Flagler Beach Volunteer Firemen's Association. Brent is also a State Certified Aerial Operator

James Hoverson - is a National Registered EMT and joined the department in 2010.

Andy Thomas - is a Florida State Certified Firefighter/EMT and joined the department in 2010. Andy is also a BLS Instructor and joins us with 9 years experience with Volusia Ocean Rescue. Andy is also a State Certified Aerial Operator

Justin Thomas - is a Florida State Certified Firefighter/EMT and joined the department in 2010.

Justin Parker - joined the department in 2010 from Texas. Justin is currently attending EMT school and plans on attending fire school when finished.

Stephen Cox - is a Florida State Certified Firefighter/Paramedic. He joined the department in 2010 with 4 years experience in central Florida. Stephen holds certifications in Vehicle Machine Rescue, ACLS, PHTLS, PALS, and he is also DOF Wildland Firefighting Cetified.

Jeffrey Starratt - is a Florida State Certified Firefighter/EMT and joined the department in 2010.

Volunteer Fire Police

Diane Wood - joined the department in 1993 and is currently a Florida Certified EMT. Diane also attended a Florida 40-Hour Basic Volunteer Firefighting course, as well as a V.F.I.S./D.O.T./Highway Safety for Emergency Personnel course. Diane serves on the Board of Directors for the Flagler Beach Volunteer Firemen's Association.

Marshall Shupe - joined the department in October of 2007 with 28 years in the fire service. Marshall is a New York State Certified Firefighter, Driver/Engineer and Fire Investigator/Inspector. Marshall is also Florida DOF Wildland Firefighting Certified, a Certified Diver and fully certified in the National Incident Management System. In addition to his credentials, Marshall is also the former Chief of the Brewerton, NY Fire Department. Marshall is also a State Certified Aerial Operator.
