Fire

Chief Roberts - Chief Roberts is a retired fire chief from the City of Radford, Virginia. Chief Roberts has extensive experience in the fire service after joining as a volunteer in his early teens. Chief Roberts is responsible for 6 paid, full-time personnel as well as the volunteers. He submits annual reports and budgets, establishes Incident Command at incidents and oversees daily operations. Chief Roberts came to the department in 2005.

Assistant Chief Wood - is a Firefighter/EMT. He became a member on July 1,1991 as a Junior Firefighter. He attended the Volusia/Flagler Fire Academy and became a Florida State Certified Firefighter in June of 1994. In February of 1996 he attained his State EMT license. Shane is DOF Wildland Firefighting certified. He moved from a volunteer to full time employee in October of 1997 making him the second full time person within the department. Shane obtained his A.S. Degree in Fire Science through Keiser University and graduated with High Honors in May of 2010. In addition to his years of service and degree, Shane is also a State Certified Aerial Operator.

Lieutenant Maddox - Lieutenant Maddox joined the department in 1994. Lieutenant Maddox holds a DOF Wildland Firefighting Certificate and a A.S. Degree in Criminal Justice. Lieutenant Maddox serves as a driver/operator for the department and is also a State Certified Aerial Operator.

Fire Police

Captain Wood - joined the department in 1993 with the Fire Police unit. Captain Wood attended the V.F.I.S./D.O.T./Highway Safety for Emergency Personnel course. Captain Wood is a Certified First Responder and is also a State Certified Aerial Operator.

Lieutenant Kuhnlein - joined the department in 1991 with the Fire Police unit. Lieutenant Kuhnlein retired from the Detroit Fire Department after 27 years. He was also responsible for running the Rescue Squad (Detroit Fire) for 17 years and in his later years on the job, he was appointed by the Mayor of the City of Detroit as Secretary to the Fire Commission. Lieutenant Kuhnlein is a Certified First Responder and is a valued member of the department with over 58 total years in the fire service.
